4 Days Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel Tour

Day 1: Arrive and visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor

EZ Tour Egypt guide will welcome you and pick you up from Luxor International Airport to your hotel in Luxor. At the hotel, our guide will show you your Egypt itinerary to arrange and confirm the pickup times for each tour.

You will visit the East Bank of Luxor, explore the Temple of Karnak (the largest temple in Egypt) built by many pharaohs and dedicated to the god Amon-Ra, and enjoy visiting the Great Hypostyle Hall with 134 columns in their beautiful colors recently restored the Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut and the Sacred Lake. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local Nile restaurant and continue your tour with a felucca ride down the Nile to capture stunning photos of Luxor and the Nile at sunset. Then you will enjoy visiting the wonderful Luxor Temple by night.

Day 2: The Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Pharaonic Cemetery with 63 tombs of the famous Pharos of the new kingdom. Then visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir El Bahari. This temple is considered a unique example of architecture in ancient Egypt as it was carved entirely into the mountain. Next to the Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Lunch at a local restaurant and at the end drive back to your hotel in Luxor.

Day 3: Edfu, Kom Ombo, the High Dam and Philae Temple

Breakfast and check out from your hotel. Our tour guide will pick you up to do a day tour to Edfu Temple which is dedicated to the god Horus and is the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth. Drive to the town of Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of Kom Ombo overlooking the Nile. A unique temple with two entrances, each dedicated to a god: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head. The temple of Kom Ombo was built in honor of two deities, the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris. Then continue your journey to Aswan, have lunch and then visit the Arab High Dam Al-Sadd al-Ālī, a rock dam over the Nile, and continue to the Temple of Philae, which was an ancient center for the cult of Isis. Check into your hotel.

Day 4: Excursion to Abu Simbel

Start your trip early in the morning around 4:30am so the hotel will provide you with a breakfast box. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel to Abu Simbel

Today you have the opportunity to visit the magnificent rock temples of Abu Simbel built by the great Pharaoh Ramses II. The first temple (the largest) was built by Ramses II and was dedicated to the famous god Rahorakhty. While the second temple (the smaller one) was dedicated to the king himself and his beautiful wife Queen Nefertari.

Upon completion of your day tour, transfer to Aswan Airport or Railway Station.

Keeping in mind that Egypt is a conservative society, dress moderately as you wich, but of course, light cotton clothes are preferred during the summer, and a cover for your head like a hat or scarf to protect you from the sun, a jacket for the winter nights will come in handy, and something comfortable for your feet like sneakers or a flip flop.

In a restaurant, it is good to give between 5 and 10% tips to the waiter. For a small favor, like carrying luggage or parking a car, a few Egyptian pounds would be appropriate. No less than five. Often times in Egypt you will find someone tending to the bathroom to keep it clean. Giving them a few Egyptian pounds is an appropriate amount. Tipping your tour guide and vehicle driver is completely optional but should be considered if you’re provided with great service. If you decide to tip feel free to give what you think your experience was worth.

There are many touristic areas in Egypt where special concerns are not necessary; however, in less touristic places, relatively modest dress is recommended. Women should avoid very tight clothing, dressing with relative modesty is a way of respecting the local culture.
